WILKES-BARRE — Akhenton A. Burgess, 29, of Courtright Avenue, was arraigned Friday on charges he assaulted his girlfriend during an argument about her children and finances.
Burgess was charged with two counts of simple assault. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.
DALLAS — Christopher John Cuozzo, 41, of Park Street, Dallas, was arraigned Friday on charges he assaulted his girlfriend on Huntsville Road.

PITTSTON — Police charged Cody John Macdonald, 18, of Tedrick Street, with simple assault, indecent exposure, open lewdness, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on Friday.
Police allege Macdonald exposed himself and urinated off a porch, an incident that was seen by two adults and a child on East Columbus Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday.
Macdonald threatened the people with a skateboard, police said.
HAZLETON — An inspection mechanic, who was not named, and the Horseless Carriage Auto Sales on South Wyoming Street were cited with several violations involving a vehicle that should not have passed inspection, city police said.
The mechanic conducted a fraudulent inspection of a vehicle that should not have passed in June, police said.
