WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A Hanover Township man was arrested on charges he sexually assaulted a young girl in the Walmart parking lot.
Following an investigation, police charged Zachary J. Geiger, 20, with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and statutory sexual assault after it was reported to police that Geiger had engaged in unlawful sexual contact with a 14-year-old female on Feb. 4 in the parking lot behind the Walmart Supercenter in Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace, police said.
Geiger was arraigned before District Judge Michael Dotzel and was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 19.
