Businesses come and businesses go and this month we can benefit from both milestones.
Last week, I urged you to head to Play It Again Sports to buy your equipment for the just-around-the-corner baseball season. This week I urge you to buy whatever you can for whatever sport you or your child plays. The business along Route 315 in Plains Township is closing at month’s end and the entire store is on a half-off sale. Grab what you can at these blowout prices.
I’m sad to see the store go as there was always a great deal to be found.
On a brighter business note, a new Primo Hoagie location along Route 309 in Wilkes-Barre Township will open Monday at 10 a.m. and the first 100 people in line will score a free hoagie. Not part of that lucky group? Not a problem as all day diners can score a Primo-sized hoagie for just $5.
If you haven’t headed over to Lone Star Steakhouse to take advantage of the March special two for $20 offer, you have just one week left. Get two entrees, two sides and two salads for $20. Ask your server for the special menu to choose your items from.
Here’s another deal that dies at the end of the month.
Olive Garden has a coupon that be printed here: http://tinyurl.com/lh297me that will get you a free dessert up to $10 with the purchase of an adult entree. Read the fine print about restrictions.
Congratulations go out to Jean Twardowski, 74, of Plains Township. She will be able the take her 2003 Kia Rio down to Will-Eeze Speedy Lube and get two free windshield wipers installed and a gallon of washer fluid on the house thanks to owner Paul Williamson’s generosity.
Thanks for reading Jean and thanks to the dozens of readers that entered the contest to try to win the prize pack offered in last Sunday’s column.
The response was so amazing, Paul has offered another free set of wipers and a gallon of fluid to another lucky reader.
So here are the rules if you want to be lucky like Jean: Email me your name and address by 2 p.m. Monday and put “windshield wipers” in the subject line. Or follow me on Twitter @TLAndrewSeder and tweet at me with the hashtag #Will-Eeze by 5 p.m. Monday. I will randomly select one lucky winner from all eligible emails and tweets and announce him or her in next week’s column.
Good luck and thanks for reading.
