Richwine

David Golias, of the Wyoming Valley Meals on Wheels program located at Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston, was the speaker for a recent meeting of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club. Golias discussed the organization’s origins and services to the more than 100 area residents in need of nutritious meals delivered. Kiwanis Division 15 Lieutenant Governor Kathy Breznay of the Swoyersville Kiwanis Club also attended and met with club officers.

Captain Patty Richwine of the Salvation Army addressed members of the Rotary Club of Kingston during a recent dinner meeting. Richwine spoke about the history of the Salvation Army in Wilkes-Barre, as well as an overview of services provided including the Thrift Store, food pantry, assistance for people faced with emergency evacuations and transitional housing needs. The Rotary Club of Kingston meets every Wednesday at Theo’s Metro in Kingston.
