Those honored included: Cathy Naessig, branch manager, 10 years; Janet Walsh, senior accounting assistant, 15 years.; Julie Jones, loan officer, 15 years; Deanna Williams, loan officer, 20 years; Frank Corrigan, mail currier, 20 years; Gina Palmioli, branch manager, 20 years; Joanne Bonning, vice president of human resources, 30 years, and Joanne Hunter-Herron, teller/MSR supervisor, 30 years.
Attorneys Joseph A. Quinn Jr., Donald C. Ligorio and Richard M. Goldberg from the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn were named Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2014. In addition, three of the firm’s younger lawyers, Michael A. Lombardo, Brian P. Stahl and Lars H. Anderson, were named to the Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Tobyhanna Army Depot was awarded re-certification for meeting and exceeding recognized quality standards by auditors from NSF International who visited the depot last month to conduct a reassessment audit of the Aerospace Standard 9100, AS 9110 and International Organization for Standardization 9001 certifications.
Scott Bolesta, associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Wilkes University Nesbitt College of Pharmacy and Nursing, has been named a participant in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Focused Investigator Training Program. The hands-on program invites experienced pharmacist-investigators who have not yet been awarded significant peer-reviewed external funding as principal investigators to participate. Separately, Bolesta was awarded financial support from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s critical care Practice and Research Network for tuition support for this program. Earlier this year he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
Attorneys Robert D. Schaub and Murray Ufberg from the Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald law firm have been selected to the 2014 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys Paul T. Rushton and Timothy J. Maloney have each been selected to the Rising Stars list for 2014. To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
Tyler Memorial Hospital recently was presented the award for most innovation for health care-associated infections with catheter-associated urinary tract infections by Quality Insights of Pennsylvania, the Medicare quality improvement organization for Pennsylvania. Tyler received the award for demonstrating commitment and dedication to decreasing catheter-associated infections. The hospital has implemented leading evidence-based interventions to ensure zero infection rates.
Fidelity Bank recently recognized eight employees for serving 40 or more years in the banking industry at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Group 3 meeting held on April 21 at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, Scranton. The 40-Year Club consists of bankers completing 40 or more years of service in Pennsylvania’s banking industry and who are regular members of the PBA.
Patricia Bohan, Cathy Collins, Robert Farrell, Elaine Motichka, James Mundy, Timothy O’Brien, Barbara Shimkus and Sharon VanLeuven all reached this momentous milestone with Motichka and Shimkus spending their entire careers with Fidelity Bank.
