In this week’s Times Leader, I found a variety of deals to share. Everything from cereal, household staples and (dare I say it) school supplies.

Let’s start with Dollar General’s insert.

The store is advertising the following selected cereals on sale for buy three for $6. That means you are only paying $2 each.

General Mills:

Honey Nut Cheerios, 12.25 ounces.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 12.2 ounces.

Lucky Charms, 11.5 ounces.

Reese’s Puffs, 13 ounces,

Trix, 10.7 ounces.

Post:

Fruity Pebbles, 11 ounces.

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds or Honey Roasted, 14. 5 ounces each.

Honeycomb, 12.5 ounces.

This deal caught my eye as well.

Dollar General has Tide Pods, 10 to 14 count, and Gain Flings, 14 count, on sale for $4.50. You can make this deal more appealing when you combine the manufacturers coupon for $2.50 off the purchase of two.

College-bound students, this is just for you.

Dollar General has foldable storage bins, regular price $4, on sale this week for buy one get one 50 percent off. The bins are available in assorted colors that will give your dorm room some flair.

Also, plastic Sterilite storage totes, 18-gallon capacity, are available in assorted colors on sale for $5. A 30-gallon tote is $9 at Dollar General.

I know summer vacation just started a few weeks ago for most children, but I am spying Back-to-School supplies already.

Walgreens has the following in-store coupons in this week’s advertisement, designed to give you a jump start on school supplies.

• Buy 6 for $1 — Wexford highlighter or two-pocket paper folder — limit six per purchase.

• 69 cents each — Wexford filler paper, 130 sheets; Wexford school glue, four ounces; or tab dividers, five-pack — limit four per purchase.

• 49 cents each — Wexford No. 2 pencils, eight-pack; scissors, 5-inch; and one-subject notebooks, limit four per purchase.

Also at Walgreens, Cottonelle bath tissue, 12 rolls, and Kleenex facial tissues, four-pack, are on sale for $4.99. Combine this with the manufacturers coupon for $3 off the purchase of two of these items.

Moms and Dads of babies and toddlers, this one is for you.

Walgreens has a $4 off in-store coupon on Huggies diapers, 50 to 82 pack; Huggies Pull Ups, 40 to 54 pack, or Goodnites, 25 or 33 pack.

Don’t forget to show your Walgreens’ Balance Rewards Card to obtain the sale prices.

Weis has some great deals to share this week.

Check out their sale on Nestle Pure Life Splash Water, six-count, on sale for buy one get two free.

Maiers Italian bread and Breyers ice cream, 48 ounces, are both on sale for buy one get one free at Weis.

I did also find red or white seedless grapes on sale for $1.49 a pound at Weis.

Remember to show your Weis Preferred Shoppers Club card to received the sale prices.

Price Chopper redesigned their sales flyer. I think it is much easier to look through.

My eyes were immediately drawn to their sale on fresh sweet Northwest cherries on sale for $1.88 a pound.

Craving something sweet and juicy, check out Price Chopper’s sale on fresh sweet Southern peaches for $1.69 a pound.

Meal planning can be made a bit simpler this week with Price Chopper’s sale on boneless skinless chicken breast and thighs and bone-in center cut rib pork chops, both are $1.88 a pound.

In a hurry and need to feed the kiddos quick?

Well, Price Chopper may have the solution with a sale on a rotisserie pork roast, 24 ounces, on sale for $7.99. Combine it with Price Chopper’s homestyle potato and egg or picnic potato salad for $2.99 a pound and you have an instant meal.

And take the edge off hot and humid days with Price Chopper’s sale on Luigi’s Real Italian Ice, 32 ounces, or Minute Maid frozen juice bars, 12-pack, on sale for $1.88. You can make this deal a little sweeter by using the manufacturers coupons and save 50 cents on each one.
