WRIGHT TWP. — A trailer manufacturer with operations across the country has set up shop in the Crestwood Industrial Park with plans to hire 65 full-time employees.

LOOK Trailers opened its newest plant on Oak Hill Road in an 84,000-square-foot building. The company with plants in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana and Utah will invest at least $2.3 million at its newest site. The new facility will have two production lines and employ between 60 and 80 people, the company said in a press release. The first trailers are expected to be completed by mid-June, the release indicates.

“We look forward to providing high-quality skilled positions that will boost the local economy. LOOK Trailers is committed to long-term growth and investment in our new operation,” Matt Arnold, company president, said in a prepared statement Tuesday.

The company worked with the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and the Governor’s Action Team to locate in Luzerne County and received a funding package from the state Department of Community and Economic Development that includes $130,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and $15,750 on WEDnetPA for employee training. The tax credits will be distributed upon the creation of the new jobs, Gov. Tom Wolf said in a press release.

Wolf said the newest project is the seventh his Action Team announced in Northeastern Pennsylvania and LOOK Trailers is the third manufacturer to locate in the region this year.

According to the Middlebury, Indiana-based company, LOOK Trailers was founded in 2010 and was named the fastest growing, enclosed trailer company in 2011 by Statistical Surveys Inc.

LOOK Trailers makes a variety of enclosed steel and aluminum trailers, including cargo, auto hauler, all-terrain vehicle, snowmobile and race. LOOK also manufactures Pace American and Cargo Express enclosed trailers across the country.
