WILKES-BARRE — Come the ides of April, King’s College will have a new person in charge of admissions and financial aid.

After a national search, King’s picked Robert Reese to become vice president for enrollment management, beginning April 15.

Reese has worked in enrollment as a vice president at three Catholic-affiliated schools in the Philadelphia Area: He served as vice president for enrollment services at Holy Family University, vice president for enrollment management at Cabrini University, and most recently as vice president for enrollment services at La Salle University.

Currently living in Clarks Summit, Reese earned his bachelor’s degree and a masters of business administration at Marywood University in Scranton — also affiliated with Catholicism — where he spent 20 years as admissions director.

Along with his work experience with admissions, he is a past president of the Pennsylvania Association of Catholic College Admissions Officers. He also has served as a compliance reviewer for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, which conducts peer evaluation and accreditation of regional colleges and universities.

Reese served in the United States Coast Guard and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

“After an extensive interview process with representatives of the various campus constituencies,” King’s President The Rev. John Ryan said in a media release. “We felt Robert was the best choice for leveraging the college’s recent admissions successes and continuing to draw a talented and diverse student body and maintain a high level of student engagement.”
