WILKES-BARRE — Expect the clouds to stick around most of the day Wednesday before a chance of rain returns Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The high temperature Wednesday is expected to reach 77, while the low tonight will be 64.

The chance for rain returns Thursday. Temperatures will spike above 80, reaching 81 as a high, the NWS says. Rainfall could accumulate to between a tenth and quarter of an inch. Except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Showers are likely Friday. The high will be 80 and the low will be 59.

There’s sunshine in store for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday appear party to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s.
