PITTSTON — Rev. Joseph Sibliano, OSJ, will be honored on the occasion of his 50 years of ordination to the priesthood on Thursday, March 12 at the annual setting of La Tavala de San Guiseppe at St. Joseph Marello Hall sponsored by St. Joseph Senior Social Club.

Sibliano was ordained in Rome, Italy, on March 19, 1965, the feast day of St. Joseph, and shortly there after was assigned to the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary in Laflin to teach Latin and Italian to the seminarians. Through the years Sibliano has served at Mt. Carmel Church, Pittston; Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary as Vocation Director; St. Sebastian Church, Connecticut; St. Rocco’s Church, Pittston; St. Anthony’s Church, Exeter; and is currently the director of the Oblates of St. Joseph.

Rose Marie Amico, is chairperson and Eleanor O’Dell is co-chairperson of the annual setting of St. Joseph’s Table. Theresa Ormando is president of the social club. Committee members are Maria C. Montante, Chester Montante, Claire LaMarca, Mary Policare, Dominick Policare, Felicia Bellanco, Sam Bellanco, Gloria DeRosa and John Reedy.
