The Chess Team from Meyers Junior-Senior High School recently competed at the Pennsylvania Scholastic Chess Championships. State place-winners were Carson Kosloski, U600 champion and fourth-place (tie) in the K-9 section; Rai-Shawn Rinaldi, U600 Quick Chess champion and eighth-place (tie) in the 7-12 U1000 section; and James Patience, UNR second place in Quick Chess.
