The fourth-grade students of St. Nicholas-St. Mary School recently went on a field trip to the Whitaker Center for science and the arts and the Pennsylvania state capitol. Many hands-on experiments were experienced by the students at the Whitaker Center and they received gift bags at the end of the tour. At the capitol the students visited the rotunda, the Senate chamber and the House of Representatives, learning important facts about the history of Pennsylvania. At the end of the tour, the students received packets containing educational information about the state of Pennsylvania from State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski.
