ASHLEY: The Bishop William J. Hafey Fourth Degree Assembly Knights of Columbus will meet on Tuesday. St. Leo’s Council 12089 will host the meeting at St. Leo’s Church in Ashley. All fourth degree knights will meet at the front of the church for prayer service at 7:10 p.m. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting.

FORTY FORT: The Forty Fort Community will sponsor its annual Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon July 14-18 at the Forty Fort Presbyterian Church, 1224 Wyoming Avenue, next to Alpine Flooring America.

Classes will be provided for children ages 5-12. Teachings from the Bible will be presented by Child Evangelism Fellowship. Activities will include crafts, singing and refreshments.

Pre-registration is not necessary, but a call would be helpful. Contact the Rev. Lukesh at 570-709-2320.

MOUNTAIN TOP: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 316 S. Mountain Blvd., is hosting healing services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday and Aug. 6. A pot luck luncheon will take place at noon after the services.

A “Book of Faith” Bible study series will be held at 7 p.m. on July 7, July 21 and Aug. 4 and Aug. 19.

The WELCA meeting will take place at 1 p.m. on July 9 at the church. Joanne Smith will be the hostess. New ideas will be discussed. The next meeting will be on Aug. 13.

WHITE HAVEN: St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 418 Berwick St., is celebrating its 150th anniversary on Aug. 3. The day will begin at 10 a.m. with special music prior to the worship service, immediately followed by a catered luncheon and concluding with an organ concert performed by Charles German at 3 p.m. The prelude will include musical selections played by Grace Legg, Samantha Legg, Bernie Perch, Harry Western and David Cunfer. Guest pastor for the day will be The Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Bishop Samuel R. Zeiser.

The luncheon will be catered by the White Haven Bakery and requires an advance reservation. Call the church secretary at 570-443-9424 by noon on July 10. If no answer at the church, leave a message with name and number of guests attending.

WILKES-BARRE: The Parish of St. Andre Bessette recently announced a change in its Mass schedule effective July 5. The new times are:

• Saturday Vigil Masses will be at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

• Sunday morning Masses will be at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

All Masses will be held at the St. Stanislaus Worship Site on North Main Street.

All are welcome.

WYOMING: The First Baptist Church, 52 E. 8th St., is hosting a 5 Day Club from 2-3 p.m. on July 14-18. Children ages 5-12 are welcome. There will be Bible lessons, missionary stories, songs, snacks and fun. For more information call 570-693-1754.
