WILKES-BARRE: Members of the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Class of 2015, Team Wilkes-Barre Strong, will hold a flapjack breakfast, featuring the characters of Frozen, 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Applebee’s Restaurant, Wilkes-Barre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Children will be able to have their pictures taken, free of charge, with their favorite Frozen characters. The event will also feature a basket raffle. Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased by emailing [email protected] by or calling team member Molly Bridger at 570-814-2314.

Proceeds from the event will benefit a community impact project to build a pavilion at Coal Street Park in Wilkes-Barre. The construction of the pavilion is the final stage of the Coal Street Park redevelopment plan. It will provide community members with a sheltered area to enjoy picnics, birthday parties and other events.

The group is also asking for assistance through tax deductible donations to help cover construction and will also accept in-kind donations of goods and services. For more details email [email protected] or contact Sam Moors at 607-725-8125.

The group plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community picnic to celebrate the pavilion’s opening.

Monetary donations can be submitted to: Leadership Wilkes-Barre, Attn: Wilkes-Barre Strong, 4 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
