DALLAS: The Dallas Mountaineers High School Baseball Booster Club is sponsoring a car wash and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 5 at Newell Fuel. Members of the baseball team will wash cars and a variety of baked goods will be available. All proceeds will support the baseball program. Tickets for the car wash are $5.
FORTY FORT: The Forty Fort Cemetery Association is holding a cemetery clean up in conjunction with Earth Day. The clean up will kickoff at 9:30 a.m. on April 20. Anyone interested in helping can call 760-1255 or just arrive on April 20. Participants should bring work gloves, rakes and other yard tools.

WILKES-BARRE: The Jewish Community Center is holding a Yom Ha’Atzmaut flag-raising ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Luzerne County Courthouse. The public is invited to join students from the United Hebrew Institute and community dignitaries in raising the Israeli flag and celebrating Israel’s 65th birthday.
