Legion award presented to Chuck’s Diner

Chuck’s Diner on Main Street in Luzerne was recently recognized by District 12 American Legion Luzerne County Commander John M. Emil Sr. with a special award plaque and certificate . The award was for outstanding support in helping to collect donations for the American Legion National Emergency Fund . The fund is used to help people in need in areas where there is a national emergency. The award was presented by Commander John M. Emil Sr. and District 12 Finance Officer Joseph Kelley . Mr. John M. Emil Sr. and Mr. Joseph Kelley are both members of American Legion Post 672 , Dallas. From left, are Joseph Kelley, Chuck Dekmar, owner of Chuck’s Diner; and John M. Emil Sr.
