Michael Dubinski, Hanover Township, a junior at Holy Redeemer High School, graduated from the Pennsylvania American Legion Keystone Boys State program held June 23-29 at Shippensburg State University. Dubinski was sponsored by his local American Legion Post. The American Legion sponsors this summer education program for high school juniors that focuses on participation and personal experience in a model state, complete with governing bodies and elected public officials. It is designed to mirror the structure and operation of the state government. The fee for the program is generally paid by American Legion Posts. Prominent leaders have graduated from the program, including President Bill Clinton, basketball star Michael Jordan, news anchor Tom Brokaw, and astronaut Neil Armstrong.
