The Kiwanis Club of Swoyersville recently held its summer reading in the park event at the Slocum Street Park in Swoyersville. This year’s theme was ‘Read n Grow’ and featured stories about outdoors and gardening. The children were treated to free books, refreshments and coloring. They also planting seeds which they were able to take home. The Kiwanis Club meets twice a month for a dinner meeting at the American Legion, Shoemaker Street, Swoyersville.
