The Dallas Lions Club concluded its Hometown Hero project with the placing of approximately 100 banners of service men and women who served or who are presently serving in the Armed Forces. Placement of the banners on poles throughout the borough was accomplished by the staff of Frontier Communications. This was the third and final year of the project. Any excess funds collected for the project were presented to the Michael Cleary Foundation, which provides financial help to members of the Armed Forces and their family members. At the check presentation at Grotto Pizza, Harveys Lake, from left, are Don Berlew, project chairman, and Jack Cleary, president, Michael Cleary Foundation.
