The Polish American Congress of Northeastern Pennsylvania (PACNEP) is accepting applications for scholarships.
Applicants must be a blood-line relative of a members of PACNEP for a period of at least five years. They may apply beginning with the second year of undergraduate study or while in graduate school and must attend school on a full-time basis. Students attending non-traditional educational programs such as trade schools, culinary arts schools may also apply.
The applications will be reviewed and approved on an individual basis and an applicant can only receive the PAC scholarship one time.
A 150-200-word essay is required with the application. It must be typed on a separate sheet of paper with the applicant’s name and address. The subject of this year’s essay is “Why I chose my field of study, for example, major, and what it means to me on a personal basis and how I intend to use my degree in my career after graduation”
Each applicant must attach a wallet-size photo to the application. The applicant must secure the signature of the PAC member sponsor on the application form. The completed application must be received by the end of September.
Incomplete, unsigned or late applications will not be accepted or returned for correction.The applicant will forfeit the chance for a scholarship for the school year they have applied.
The Polish American Congress of Northeast Pennsylvania cannot be held responsible for any lost applications or related paperwork.
No late applications will be considered by the scholarship committee.
