WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Eager fans of Chick-fil-A began camping out Wednesday evening in advance of the new standalone restaurant’s opening on Thursday morning.

The campout, which ends at 6 a.m. with the restaurant’s formal opening, will see guests eligible to win a year’s supply of meals from the fast-food outlet.

Up to 100 adults will win a digital offer card with a year of free Chick-fil-A meals — 52 meals with each consisting of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, medium Waffle Potato Fries and a medium beverage.

The eatery at 989 Schechter Drive is located in a heavily rebuilt structure that formerly housed Lucky’s Sporthouse.
