The St. Mark’s-St. John’s Lutheran Parish is holding a family fun fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 285 Pond Hill Mountain Road, Wapwallopen. This is a benefit for the Smith Family, who lost their home and all their personal belongings in a Shickshinny fire on July 24. There will be pulled pork, sausage and peppers, wimpies, hot dogs, haluski, pierogies, salads and desserts. Activities include live music by Ann Kachline and Caleb Guzevich, a Chinese auction, games and prizes and a bounce house for the children. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and free for children younger than 5. All proceeds will go directly to the family. Parish Council members, from left, are Noel Conrad, Suzanne Paul, Jonathan Stegura, Carol Smetana, Kevin Kaminski, Eileen Crawley,the Rev. Debra North, Doris Davies, Ed North, Jaclyn Victor, Christine Yale and Hunter Yale.
