    C. Willis Dunlap, 90, of Pocono Pines, died Thursday at Pocono Medical
CenterBorn in Pocono Lake, he was a son of the late Phillip and Isabelle
Sliker Dunlap.
   
He was a resident of Monroe County most of his life.
   
He was a 1921 graduate of Pocono Lake High School and a 1923 graduate of
East Stroudsburg Normal School.
   
He received his bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg State College in
1933 and his master’s degree from Columbia University in 1937.
   
He taught in Locust Ridge Elementary School, Blakeslee Elementary School
and Tobyhanna High School.
   
He served the Tobyhanna Township School for 20 years as supervising
principal from 1936 to 1956 and at the New Pocono Mountain Joint School until
his retirement in 1966.
   
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Pocono Lake, where he
served as past president of the Consistory.
   
He was also a former Sunday school teacher of the adult class.
   
He was a member of the Pocono Lodge of Masons 780, Cresco, the Scottish
Rite and a charter member of the Pocono Lions Club.
   
He was a past president of the Pocono Lions Club for several terms and was
voted Lion of the Year.
   
He was a life member of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Co. and the
Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
   
He was a former president and trustee of the Pocono Lake Cemetery
Association and vice president for Mortgage Acquisition for Lake Naomi Corp.
for several years after retiring from the school system.
   
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Avery Dunlap; sister, Esther M. Combs,
Watertown, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Pocono Lake United Church
of Christ with the Rev. David P. Siegfried, officiating.
   
Interment will be in the Pocono Lake Cemetery, Pocono Lake.
