The following incidents were reported by state police or area police
departments3 victimized by burglars
   
WILKES-BARRE — Burglars victimized three city residents while they slept
Saturday night and Sunday morning, police said.
    Peter Dick, of the Lincoln Plaza high-rise apartment complex, told police
someone entered his residence while he was sleeping between 11 p.m. Saturday
and 2:20 a.m. Sunday. A television set and more than $50 in cash were taken.
   
Adeline David, also of Lincoln Plaza, told police she was awakened by a
noise and heard someone leaving her apartment shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. Her
purse had been ransacked and a set of keys stolen.
   
Adele Yesulaitis, of Parrish Street, told police she awoke about 2:30 a.m.
Sunday and found the lights on. Someone had entered and ransacked the home,
taking a cordless telephone and more than $100 in cash.
   
Truck burglarized
   
WILKES-BARRE — Joseph Masi, of North Hancock Street, told police someone
broke into his parked truck on Amber Lane Saturday night.
   
A cassette stereo, speakers, citizen’s band radio, cellular telephone,
radar detector and stereo amplifier were taken, police said. The items were
valued at more than $1,000.
   
City man arrested
   
WILKES-BARRE — Wayne Alfred Bohn, 40, of Monument Avenue, Wyoming, was
arrested early Sunday morning for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass,
police said.
   
Bohn refused to leave Denny’s Restaurant on Kidder Street when management
asked him to, police said. He yelled at police officers when they arrived
around 4:30 a.m. and still refused to leave.
   
Bohn will have a hearing before a district justice, police said.
   
Woman faces charges
   
WILKES-BARRE — Tracy Lee Nelson, 27, of Carey Avenue, was arrested for
disorderly conduct and public drunkenness early Sunday morning, police said.
   
Officers responded to a report of a fight and found Nelson yelling and
throwing broken glass from a third-floor apartment landing, police said. She
was repeatedly warned to desist, but refused.
   
Nelson will be summoned to appear before a district justice, police said.
   
Window smashed
   
WILKES-BARRE — An officer responding to a burglar alarm at III Guys Pizza
on North Main Street found a 9-by-4-foot plate glass window smashed around
1:40 a.m.
   
Windshield smashed
   
WILKES-BARRE — Donna Marie Smith, of North Empire Street, told police
Sunday that someone smashed the windshield and driver’s door window on her
1984 Mercury while it was parked outside her home.
   
Cigarettes stolen
   
WILKES-BARRE — Someone entered the Turkey Hill Minit Market in the 700
block of South Main Street about midnight Saturday, took four cartons of
cigarettes and left without paying.
   
Store clerk Dean Weisgerber described the suspect as a white male in his
20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, wearing a light
blue shirt and blue jeans. The loss was estimated at $60.
