    Kenneth Lee Roberts, 48, of Jones Hollow Road, Marlborough, Conn., died
   
Saturday in the Hartford HospitalBorn in Wilkes-Barre, he resided in
Stratford prior to moving to Marlborough two years ago.
   
He was the recipient of the Developer of the Year Award from the
Connecticut Chapter of NIDA, the National Industrial Development Association
in 1994.
   
He was currently the executive director, community reinvestment at the
Connecticut Department of Economic Development, Rocky Hill, 12 years, and was
the assistant town manager in Stratford, five years.
   
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Kressler.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Hunt; children, Mark and Lisa, of
Stratford; brother, William O. Jr., Middletown, Conn.; stepchildren, Kadie
Steinberg, Emily Steinberg and James Steinberg, of Marlborough.
   
Memorial services were Wednesday in the Marlborough Congregational Church,
South Main Street, Marlborough.
   
Private interment was at the convenience of the family.
   
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Marlborough
Congregational Church or to the Lupus Foundation of Connecticut, South Main
Street, Hartford, 06107.
   
Arrangements were under the direction of the the Glastonbury Funeral Home,
450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, Conn.
