Jean Dressel
July 18, 1995
Jean E. Dressel, 80, of West Manchester Township, York, formerly of
Wilkes-Barre and Philadelphia, died Tuesday in the Manor Care North, York,
where she residedBorn June 22, 1915, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter
of the late Bernard C. and Elsie M. Laubasuch Dressel.
She was formerly employed by the United States Navy, working as a civilian
employee in Washington, D.C., for many years, prior to retiring.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Joel C. and Harold E.
Surviving are a sister, Martha M. Dressel, York; one niece and two nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the Baumeister, Orcutt and
Small Mortuaries, Inc., South Queen and Jackson Street, York, with the Rev.
Michael P. Bahn, chaplain of Manor Care Kingston Court, officiating.
Interment will be in the Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time on Friday.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the charity of the
donor’s choice.
