    Bernard J. Cerra of Avery Street, Tunkhannock, formerly of South Hospital
   
Street, Carbondale, died Tuesday at homeBorn Feb. 20, 1913, in Carbondale,
he was the son of the late John B. and Maria S. Molinaro Cerra.
   
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the
Carbondale Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 7965; the Carbondale Knights
of Columbus Council No. 329; the Wyoming County Senior Citizens Center; and
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Tunkhannock.
   
Before retiring, he was employed by the General Electric Co., Bridgeport,
Conn.
   
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Briganti; daughter,
Elizabeth Ann Cerra; sister, Rose Esposito.
   
Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Brabant, Tunkhannock; brothers,
Frank, Florida; Carmine, Monroe, Conn.; Fiore, Plainville, Conn.; sisters,
Mary Bonacci, Bridgeport; Catherine Molinaro, Monroe, Conn.; one grandson,
John Brabant, Tunkhannock.
   
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka
Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
10 a.m. in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
   
Interment will be in the Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
