    Helen A. Nispon, a guest of the Mountain Rest Nursing Home, Linwood Avenue,
   
Scranton, formerly of Franklin Street, Old Forge, died Thursday at the
homeBorn in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lena
Orchowski Perkowski.
   
She settled at the nursing home two years ago, and previously resided in
Old Forge for most of her life.
   
She was educated in Scranton schools and was a member of St. Michael’s
Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge.
   
Before retiring, she was employed by the former Cedar Throwing Mill of
Scranton.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1959; a brother, Martin
Parks; sisters, Anna Antil, Stella Hoffman, Pauline Kriste and Celia
Paczkowski.
   
Surviving are daughters, Claire Burns, Iselin, N.J.; Regina Holtzman, Old
Forge; Dorothy Hunter, East Haven, Conn.; a sister, Mary Hantz, Duryea; seven
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several nieces
and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Thomas P. Kearney
Funeral Home, 517 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9
a.m. in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge, with the Rev. Joseph
M. Brozena, pastor, officiating.
   
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
