EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. today in St. Anthony’s Center. Hosts and hostesses are Mary Dirhan, Marcella Fountain, Frank Fountain, Frank Schall and Dorothy Serbin.


At the previous meeting, Bill and Maryann Kull were welcomed back and Bill entertained the group on the organ. The 50-50 winners were Amy Alpaugh, Ginny Craig, Johanna Malinowski, Bernie Serbin and Helen Zarychta. Edmund Czachor won the special game prize and Marcella Fountain won the bingo jackpot.


A casino trip is planned for Nov. 13. Pickups in Exeter and Pittston. Membership is not required for trips. Call Johanna at 570-655-2720.


FALLS: The Falls Active Adult Center, state Route 92, is hosting an Active Aging Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at Lazybrook Park.


The center will also have a masquerade party on Oct. 31.


JENKINS TOWNSHIP: The Jenkins Township Senior Citizens’ group will meet at 6:30 tonight at the Jenkins Township Fire Hall. President Jean Mudlock will preside. Hostesses for this month are Joan Yostrum and Ruth Musto.


MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountain Top Social Club will meet Oct. 22 in the Father Nolan Hall day room at St. Jude Church. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. New members are welcome. Bakers are Louise Miemick, Carmella Rovinski and Maria Wetik.

NANTICOKE: The Rose Tucker Center, 128 W. Washington St., is hosting Platinum Private Duty at 11 a.m. today. There will be a presentation on skin care, wellness and nutrition.


There will be a sing-a-long with Diana and Marian at the piano at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. A salad bar will be served at 12:15 p.m.


The Birchwood Nursing and Rehab Center will present exercise and dance at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.


Apprise Medicare will conduct its annual open enrollment at 9 a.m. on Oct. 28. Salad bar will be served at noon.


Griswold Home Care will be available at 11 a.m. on Oct. 30. There will be Halloween bingo with prizes.


Members should come in full costume by noon on Oct. 31 for a Halloween party lunch. Prizes will be awarded.


PITTSTON: St. Joseph’s Senior Social Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursdayat Mount Carmel’s Center, William Street. Servers for the month are Gertie Kichilinsky, Evelyn Levandowski, Sarah Howanitz and Frances Mattucci.


Halloween games will take place after the social. Members are reminded to bring canned goods for St. John’s Food Pantry.


A Christmas trip is planned for Dec. 4 to QVC, Brandywine Museum and Longwood Gardens. Call Theresa for details.


Club members are planning to attend a Mass in November as a group with breakfast after the service. Plans to be finalized at the meeting.

PLAINS TWP.: The Plains Senior Citizens Project Head will meet on Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul School cafeteria. Host and hostesses for the meeting will be Ann Mushinski, Nancy Nahill, Dominic Pape, Antoinette Pascucci and Virginia Pasquarielo. They should report to the cafeteria at 11:30 a.m. to set up refreshments.


At the previous meeting, the guest speaker was Lieutenant Richard Lussi of the Plains Township Police Department. He reminded members to bring unwanted medication to the Plains Police Station, North Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26. They will properly dispose of all medications. Needles will not be accepted.


A trip is being planned on Nov. 21 to Allenbury to see a Christmas show and have a buffet dinner. There is a tentative agreement to stop at the Hollywood Casino after dinner with $25 in play money. Cost of the trip is $75. Anyone wishing to attend can contact Michael Boncheck at 570-823-2871.


TUNKHANNOCK: The Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne-Wyoming County is hosting Wyoming County Active Aging Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at Lazybrook Park, Tunkhannock.


Food, activities, screenings, games, live entertainment and much more will be offered throughout the day.


WILKES-BARRE: The Charles T. Adams Active Adult Center, 5 E. Market St., will offer blood pressure screenings from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday.


There will be a Medicare open enrollment from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 22. Call the center to schedule appointment.


Name that Tune bingo with Kristen Makowski will take place at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23.


The center’s 45th anniversary celebration will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 25. There will be door prizes and raffles.


A mature workers luncheon will take place at noon on Oct. 29 at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, 77 E. Market St., Wilkes-Barre.


There will be a Halloween party and costume contest from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 30.


Trick or treaters, 12 years of age or younger, can receive a treat if they come to the center in full costume from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 31.


WILKES-BARRE: The Rainbow Seniors of Wilkes-Barre will meet at 1 p.m. today at Albright United Methodist Church, Dana and Grove streets. Servers are Angelo and Bernadine Ricci. President. New members welcome.
