Alberta Strickland

Alberta Strickland of Meeker Road, Vestal, N.Y., formerly of Springville,
died
Wednesday at the Susquehanna Nursing Home, Johnson City, N.YBorn Jan. 26,
1902, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Bradley and Lena
Stark Bunnell.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and solving crossword puzzles.
She was a member of the West Nicholson United Methodist Church; Order of
Eastern Star, Arbutus Chapter 29, Nicholson; the Loyalty Society; the United
Methodist Women of Nicholson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Strickland, in 1985.
Surviving are sons, Boyd “B.C.” and Kenneth Strickland, both of Nicholson;
daughters, Lena S. Lewis, Raleigh, N.C.; Nan S. Valencia, Vestal, N.Y.; Ruth
S. Ruffhead, Lancaster; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka
Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkha
