MOUNTAIN TOP: Scouts in the Mountain Top area are holding their annual food drive. Scouts will deliver donation tags to homes in Mountain Top on Nov. 16. They will pick up the nonperishable food donations at 10 a.m. on Nov. 23. All food collected will be taken to the food bank at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountain Top.


NANTICOKE: St. Faustina’s Parrish, 520 South Hanover St., is sponsoring a safe Halloween and haunted house from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 31. Food and refreshments will be provided.


SCRANTON: The members of the Association Jeanne Jugan of Holy Family Residence is sponsoring a bus trip to Mount Airy Casino on Nov. 16. The bus, which will be provided by Martz Trailways, will leave the parking lot of the residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton, at 10 a.m. and return to the residence at 5 p.m. All bus ticket proceeds will be donated to the Little Sisters of the Poor to purchase Christmas gifts for the residents of Holy Family Residence.


Bus tickets are $30 and includes $25 of slot play and a $10 food voucher to be used at any of the casino’s restaurants.
