HAZLETON — Police are investigating two break-ins that happened on Sunday morning.

Police say two suspects entered the Heritage Fresh Food at 601 South Poplar Street shortly before 5 a.m. on Sunday morning and, once inside, removed the money from the cash registers.

The police report did not indicate how much money was taken.

Another attempted break-in at the Pantry Quick on East Diamond Avenue happened on Sunday morning, but only resulted in a damaged door.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., police say, someone smashed the glass on the front door of the business with a brick, but did not gain entry into the business.

Anyone with information about either incidents is asked to call Hazleton police via 911.
