WILKES-BARRE — A city man was arraigned Monday on charges he had stolen jewelry from his girlfriend’s parents in April.

Ryshan E. Gaut, 24, last known address as Eastview Drive, was charged with receiving stolen property. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.

Police allege Gaut had stolen a gold ring and a gold necklace from the Madison Street residence of his girlfriend on April 22. Police recovered the jewelry at a pawn shop on North Pennsylvania Avenue, according to the criminal complaint.
