BERWICK — Borough police are investigating two robberies that occurred within 12 hours of each other on Monday.

Police said a man who resides in that block sells computers and had recently received a request to show a computer to an interested party. The resident met with a female in a Turkey Hill Minit Market parking lot and showed her merchandise.

Upon her request to see more merchandise, the female followed the resident back to his apartment in the 500 block of West Front Street. While showing more merchandise to the female, the resident heard someone walking on the steps to his second-floor apartment, police said.

Upon checking to see who was walking toward the apartment, the resident saw two males approaching, one of whom pointed a handgun at the resident and ordered him to the ground. The suspects then quickly entered the apartment, removed several items from the residence and fled along with the female, police said.

Also on Monday, at 12:04 p.m., borough police were dispatched to a report of a robbery at the Medicine Shoppe at 145 E. 9th St., where it was reported that a white male wearing a ski mask entered the establishment and demanded narcotics.
