If you aren’t convinced spring has arrived by the balmy warm temperatures outside (31 ain’t that bad), there is one sure sign that spring — and cycling season — has arrived.
Around Town Bicycles’ Saturday morning rides are resuming this Saturday. The first two will start at 8:30 a.m. The ride will return to its regular time of 8 a.m. on April 12.
The rides will start out as 20 to 25 miles of mostly flat road. Mileage and intensity will increase through the season, so it’s a great way to work yourself in to prime shape.
A road bike is recommended.
And in case you are wondering, Saturday’s forecast calls for a high of 49 with a low of 36. The bad news 60 percent chance of rain.
Now, what’s more likely to keep me from making this Saturday’s ride, the 60 percent chance of rain or the 8:30 starting time?
