W. Scott Blanchard, professor of English at Misericordia University, has been selected as one of 12 international researchers to participate in the Renaissance Humanism and the Ambiguities of Modernity Workshop sponsored by the Minerva Center for Human Rights at the University of Tel Aviv, Israel, on June 19-21. The main purpose of the workshop is to bring to light the internal strains between Renaissance humanism and modernity and explore the new modes of life and thought the two periods generated.
