Lukasz Karol Olszar and Megan Marie Korus, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Korus Sr., Plymouth. She is the granddaughter of Helen Callahan and the late Thomas Callahan and the late Alfonso and Florence Korus, all of Plymouth.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Miroslaw Olszar, Covington Township. He is the grandson of Zygmunt and Leonarda Paszko, Bialystok, Poland, and the late Karol and Anna Olszar, Leszna Gorna, Poland.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School and a 2012 graduate of Lackawanna CTC Practical Nursing Program, where she earned a diploma in practical nursing. She is pursuing her associate’s degree in nursing at Luzerne County Community College. She is employed by Caregivers of America as a licensed practical nurse.
The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of North Pocono High School and a 2009 graduate of Lackawanna College, where he earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice and also completed the Act 120 becoming a police officer thereafter. In 2012, he graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, 134th class, and is employed as a Pennsylvania State Trooper.
The couple will exchange vows in August of 2014 at All Saints Parish, Plymouth, with a formal reception to follow at Via Appia.
