Crissy Ameika and Daniel Hurley, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Leonard and Theresa Ameika, Duryea. She is the granddaughter of the late Walter Ameika and Caroline Ameika and the late Vince and Bernie Chesslock, all of Duryea.
The prospective groom is the son of Larry and Charlene Hurley, Washington, N.J. He is the grandson of the late John and Helen Hurley, Roselle, N.J.; Tom and Judy Miller, Rahway, N.J.; and the late Joan Miller, Linden, N.J.
Miss Ameika is a 2005 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from East Stroudsburg University in 2009 and her master’s degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University in 2013. She is employed as a special education teacher at Glen Rock School District, Glen Rock, N.J.
Mr. Hurley is a 2006 graduate of Warren Hills High School. He attended East Stroudsburg University and is employed as a sprinkler fitter for Local 696, Newark, N.J.
The couple will be married on Oct. 11, 2014, at St. John the Apostle Church, East Stroudsburg.
