Megan Frances Conklin and Chad Frederick Newmark, along with their families, are stoked to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kathleen and Damian Sadowski, Forty Fort, and George and Julie Conklin, Back Mountain. She is the sister of Kimberly McGinley, Ocean Beach, California, and the granddaughter of Frances Conklin and the late George Conklin, Truesdale Terrace, and the late Kathleen and Theodore Liberaski, Wilkes-Barre.

The prospective groom is the son of Penny and Carl Newmark, Greenwood Village, Colorado, and the brother of Brett Newmark, Aurora, Colorado. He is the grandson of Joan and Iran Emeson, Denver, Colorado, and the late Robert Newmark, Salem, South Carolina.

A member of the Wyoming Valley West High School Class 2000, Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State University in 2004 and, in 2006, she earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland. Megan is employed as director of development for Foundation Relations at the University of Denver.

In 2001, Chad graduated from Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, in 2005. Chad works for General Electric as a senior finance manager.

Megan and Chad were engaged in July 2014 at sunrise on Redcloud Peak in Colorado’s San Juan Mountain Range. They will exchange vows on June 26, 2015, in Vail, where they first met. The couple lives in Denver, Colorado, with their beloved dog, Kona, where they love to run, mountain bike, hike and ski.
