Mary A. Hadley, 98, of Duryea, died peacefully Friday afternoon at Wesley Village Nursing Home, Jenkins Township, surrounded by most of her loving and caring family. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she will be missed by all.
She was born in Duryea, and she was a life resident of Duryea. She was a daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Earley Sullivan, and was educated in Duryea schools. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea, and its Christian Mothers Society. She was also a member of the Brennan-Regan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 585 and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 1227, both of Duryea; The Marian Club of St. Mary’s Help of Christians; the Jacqueline Club (Knights of Columbus); and the Senior Citizens Club, all of Pittston. Also the Duryea Senior Sunshine Club, which she organized in 1970.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1957; brothers Dennis and James Sullivan; a daughter, Priscella Hadley Gike; sons James and Paul; a son in-law, Ted Wroblewski; and grandson Joseph Wroblewski.
Surviving are daughters Roselyn Wroblewski, Bound Brook, N.J.; Judy and her husband, Donald Wasta, Duryea; Karen and her husband, Joseph Sobeski, Duryea; four grandchildren Kathy Hadley, Sharri Dructor, Joseph and Christopher Sobeski; one great-grandson William Dructor.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Stephenson Street, Duryea, at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. There will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Holy Rosary or Sacred Heart Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea, PA 18642.
