Dorothy Green Sick, 92, of Edwardsville, died Friday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born , Oct. 3, 1916, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Helen Lenahan Green.
Dorothy attended Saint Ann’s Academy for its full 12 years, graduating with the Class of 1935. She continued her education at Rosemont College and earned her bachelor’s degree from Marywood University in 1939. Dorothy later studied for her master’s degree at Misericordia University.
Dorothy was a member of the Parish of Saint Ignatius, Harvey’s Lake Yacht Club and Westmoreland Club and a former member of the King’s College Century Club. She was previously active with the parent organizations of Saint Therese’s School and as a volunteer at the former Mercy Hospital.
Her husband of 54 years, Eugene W. Sick, died February 27, 1999; sisters, Molly Tinsley and Connie Connolly; and brothers, John and Robert Green, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, George J. and his wife, Carole Sick, of Hershey; Patricia and her husband, Gerald Sheehan, of Mountain Top; Michael J. and his wife, Molly Sick; of Lebanon, N.J.; and David Sick Laurence and his partner, Michael McMahon, of New York City; grandchildren, Matthew and Steve Sick, Ryan and Laura Sheehan and Andy and Libby Sick.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Church Of Saint Ignatius. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
