Charles T. Salvo

Charles T. Salvo, a life long resident of Pittston Township, is seeking election to the position of Auditor.
Salvo is a graduate of Pittston Area School District, Kings College, the University of Scranton, and Marywood University. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies with a concentration in psychology from Kings College in 1974, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Scranton in counseling. He completed postgraduate work at Marywood University and returned to the University of Scranton where he obtained a supervisors certificate in counseling. He continues to update his academic credentials and is a part-time adjunct professor at Wilkes University. He is presently chairman of the Act 101 Board at Kings College and is employed by the Luzerne Intermediate Unit.
Salvo is the Vice-president of the Pittston Township Volunteer Fire Department and has served as president and secretary. This year he will celebrate over 35 years as a volunteer fireman with the department.
Salvo has served the residents of Pittston Township in many capacities. He served as secretary of the Sewer Authority of the Township of Pittston, and as a member of the Greater Pittston Sanitary Authority where he was instrumental in securing a grant and obtaining sewer service for the communities of Pittston Township, Jenkins Township, Laflin, and Yatesville. He served the youth of the community as a member of the Pittston Township Recreation Board and as a coach for the Pittston Township Little League.
He is a member of Saint Rocco’s Church in Pittston.
Mr. Salvo and his wife, Joyce, live in the Suscon section of the township. They are the proud parents of Dr. Marissa Salvo, St. Louis, Missouri, and Charles Joseph Salvo, a senior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Troy, New York.
Salvo looks forward to serving the residents of Pittston Township as auditor.
