The Christian Education Committee of the First Presbyterian Church, 97 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, is planning its 15th annual Alternative Christmas celebration for Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church.
The Alternative Christmas celebration offers families an opportunity to spend time together, making items such as wreaths and candles, and purchasing hand-made crafts from local artisans, as well as third world crafts made in locations around the world.
The Women of the First Presbyterian Church will also be having a bake sale. A light lunch will be available.
The public is invited to attend the Alternative Christmas. There is no entrance charge. Tables are also available to crafters at no charge. For more information call Pam at the First Presbyterian Church at 824-2478.
