Foster Boyce
   
Oct. 23, 1994
    Foster P. Boyce, of RR 6 Tunkhannock, died Sunday at homeBorn Feb. 11,
1930, in Ogdensburg, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mary Watkins
Boyce.
   
He was a graduate of Canton High School, class of 1948, and Penn State
University, class of 1952.
   
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and attended officer candidate
school at Fort Benning, Ga. He graduated as a second lieutenant and was
promoted to the rank of first lieutenant while serving in Germany.
   
He had been employed by GLF, later known as Agway, for more than 18 years
and served as general manager of the feed division of Garden State Farms Inc.
He also was the former owner and operator of Montvale Feed Inc., South
Montrose.
   
Prior to his retirement in 1993, he had served in management for several
local bottled water companies for more than 10 years.
   
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vicki, in 1958.
   
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Katherine Palmer; son,
Steven, Tunkhannock; daughter, Cheryl Sands, Tunkhannock; two grandsons;
brothers, Robert, Roaring Branch; John Watkins, Athens; Roger Watkins,
Washington, D.C.; Stewart Watkins, Albion, N.Y.; Stanley Watkins, Pickford,
Mich.; half brothers, Glen Watkins, Rushville; Clarence Watkins, Roaring
Branch; Harold Watkins, New York; half sisters, Connie Smith, Roaring Branch;
Mary Ellis, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday from Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral
Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. The Rev. Daniel Herron, pastor of
Eatonville United Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Margaret Reid,
