One motorist was taken to a hospital after she allegedly ran a red light on State Route 309 Wednesday afternoon, crashing a white Mustang into a dump truck. Township police said the car struck the truck’s tank, causing it to leak fuel onto the road. The spill was cleaned up by Falzone Towing of Wilkes-Barre. The dump truck was turning off Main Road onto 309 shortly after noon when it was struck, police said. The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township. Back Mountain Regional Fire and Ambulance assisted.
