Lottie E. (Wrazien) Waszkiewicz, of Dupont, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, after a short illness.
Born Nov. 16, 1909, to the late Nora (Stelmach) Wrazien and Andrew Wrazien, Lottie was two months shy of her 100th birthday.
Lottie was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and a member of its Women’s Society. Known as “Grammy” or “Babci” to all, Lottie worked in the silk mills as a young girl.
An accomplished seamstress, she retired from Steingut Dress, Dupont. She was an avid crocheter and made and gifted many afghans and doilies.
In addition to her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her son, Joseph; and brothers, Paul, Stanley, John and Andrew Wrazien.
Lottie is survived by her daughter, Theresa Elko and her husband, Joseph, with whom she resided; and daughter-in-law, Mary Waskiewicz, of Dupont; four grandchildren, Karen Haberek, Patricia Haberek and her husband, Joseph, all of Moosic, Carl Waskiewicz, of Dupont, and Carolyn Zikosky and husband John, of Exeter; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Phillip and Ross Huberek, Sarah Lamatta and husband, Jeffrey, and Brittany and Jessica Zikosky; a sister-in-law, Mary Wrazien; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Kiesinger Funeral Services, 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, with Fr. Joseph Verespy, officiating.
Friends may call Sunday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
