    Mary R. Hintze, of Pittston Avenue, Avoca, died Tuesday in Moses-Taylor
   
Hospital, ScrantonBorn in Avoca, she was the daughter of the late Francis
and Susan Murphy Mullaney.
   
Prior to retiring, she was employed by Owens-Illinois, Jenkins Township.
   
She was a member of the Glass Blowers Union of Owens-Illionis; St. Mary’s
Church, Avoca; Crossin Towers Social Club, Duryea, where she was a 1993 Irish
Colleen.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, in 1967; brother, Jack;
sister, Margaret Cohan.
   
Surviving are sons, Willim and Edward, Hughestown; brother, Joseph ,
Hughestown; sisters, Florence A. Karsko, Moosic; Frances A. Singer, with whom
she resided; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
   
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Austin F. O’Malley III
Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
St. Mary’s Church.
   
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
