LEHMAN TWP. — Wyoming Area opened up a five-run lead in the fourth inning and held off Lake-Lehman 9-5 Thursday in a Wyoming Valley Conference softball game.


Alex Holtz struck out six in five innings for the win and added a double at the plate. Nicole Turner hit a solo homer for Wyoming Area.


Brit Meeker led Lehman, going 2-for-3 with a double.
