What became

of laws on

jaywalking?

Whether you talk about federal, state or city government, you have the same old, same old: the height of stupidity.

For years it was illegal to cross the street in the middle of the block. It was the law and called jaywalking. Many a good taxpayer was fined for committing such a heinous crime.

Now in the modern age of everyone needs a college education to get a job, things have changed. It seems the younger generation wasn’t satisfied having to have a seat belt to ride in a car; now they are seemingly too dumb or lazy to walk to a corner to cross a street. They are also so stupid they wear dark-colored clothing and step out from between cars, trucks or anything else that is parked at one of these crosswalks that some other idiot thought was a way to get them across the street safely.

They also seemingly don’t realize that if it is daytime (mostly at sunup or sunset), a driver might be blinded by the sun as they frolic into the street occupied on the phone or wearing a headset that blocks the sound of the pending fatality.

I see why so many of these people drop out before they can graduate. It is just too bad the dummy who had these crossings put in couldn’t be the one to suffer the damage.
