PSU scholarships

help the country

This is about the decision to take away scholarships from Penn State.

This, in reality, is taking away from the downtrodden, poor, African-Americans, Hispanics and others.

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill said, as the United States entered World War II, that he finally had a night of reasonable rest because the new was coming to the rescue of the old.

The decision to take 20 scholarships a year from Penn State is a decision of the old. They should be restored with the stipulation that the players cannot play in their first year; and they should be assigned tutors to help them get through the first year. One might even have them take all their classes together.

There were the Sumerians, Greeks, Romans, English and now, the Americans. In spite of what Russian President Vladimir Putin says, America is the new centerpoint civilization of all of mankind, with DNA from all over the world. The world should hope it succeeds, because it might be the last best hope for all of mankind. The world is a mess, always been a mess and will be a mess in the future.

All over the United States non-governmental entities (such as some schools) and government agencies feel they are more important than the people they serve. They have become regal. Graft and corruption are everywhere. The voters might be responsible for that.

One knows we cannot solve half the problems, nor do we have the purse to do so; but we must try. North America and South America can become self-sufficient in oil and coal. Africa can hold its own. The Middle East then sells its oil to Europe. Russia then sells its oil to China. This might prevent a war with China (because of oil in the South China Sea) for at least 20 years. We have oil, coal and natural gas fracking. We must try to use them, for not using 300 years worth of energy is criminal.
